Whitefish Chowder

Step one ingredients:

6 slices bacon, diced

½ cup chopped onion

½ cup diced celery

½ bag baby carrots, cut bite size

1 ½ cups diced potatoes

1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder or fresh

1 teaspoon old bay seasoning or Lowery’s

1 teaspoon salt

½ to 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 teaspoon parsley

2 bay leaves

1//2 teaspoon thyme

½ teaspoon dried dill weed

½ stick butter

1 cup broth or 16 oz 

½ cup white wine


Step two ingredients:

1 cup grated parmesan cheese or Astego point

¼ cup cornstarch

1 to 2 pounds salmon/whitefish filets cut into 1 inch pieces

1 quart milk or more

1 12 ounce package cream cheese 8-10 is okay
